hard to start

1992 f250 non turbo diesel.middle of summer now and i have to run the glow plugs twice so the truck can start first crank.if i run the glow plugs only once the truck will start after a few cranks.new glow plugs 3 months ago

what about relay , did that get replaced , also check for voltage on the 3 wires on injection pump when cold with switch on, they all 3 should have power on them when cold , if cold start solenoid isnt energized that could hurt starting

I agree. How many miles are on this engine? Also make sure your cranking speed is ok. I have seen a couple of these starting hard due to a weak starter.
