Max safe boost for IDI 7.3 Factory Turbo??

Just wondering what the safe max boost a 7.3 IDI Factory Turbo can handle?? I am going to put a gauge on it and I have a little "boost gain" trick but I need to know what it can handle safely. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!!

i wouldnt take an IDI much over 15-17.......with the compression ratio being higher anything above that and your really risking damage to cylenders.....#7 is usually the first to go...

'92 IDI 7.3 wearing a Banks Sidewinder, exhaust, gauges, maxxes out @ 15 psi when everything's working right. Seem to have to change the blower seal (just an O-ring) every few months, but it's always easy to see when it's due - starts blowing by the seal and max boost drops to 10.

No dyno but my Banks gauge that came with the sidewinder stops at 15psi and I can peg that at 15 if I get on the gas
