Air filter cover 1992 non turbo
Can any one tell me what the dome shaped piece is on the under side of the air filter cover is for and can it be removed to help air flow to the engine.

It is nothing but pure restriction, cut it off!!!! I cut all mine off with a torch as close to the top of the lid as I could, you could use a cutting wheel on a 4'' grinder to do it too. It will make a diff.!!!
