injection pump help!

Hello! I have a problem I need some help with.. I have a 1991 7.3 idi that has a hypermax turbo on it and I decided to turn the pump up a little bit to see if I could get a bit more power from it.. well after I turned it up I put it back together and started it.. I noticed it start to run a little rough at idle and it started missing in the higher rpms.. it will only smoke pure white if you rev it from idle.. and doesn't smoke at all when driving it.. it use to blow a fair amount of black smoke when you would get on it.. it seems to have lost a lot of power also so I'm wondering if maybe the timings off now on the pump? What are your thoughts on this? Thanks for the help guys
