Fix glow plug problem Still wont Start
Finally tracked a ground down and got the glow plugs current and will feed for around 20 sec b4 they kick off. But now it will not fire off. I suspect all the times I tried to start it using alittle starting fluid has messed up fuel mixture where it really need to get started to clear out all the no starts. Is this a correct thought. How do I clear out the cylinders. Hold throttle in?. Let set a week? I have 2 brand new batteries and a starter about 1 year old. I was afraid of continuing to start in fear of doing in battery. Give me any suggestions please. I'm using a 50 amp boost and two 850 cold crank battery's. I get about 3 try's b4 they get weak. I hold starter for about 15-20 sec to get some heat to cylinders. . Also I've open the pet **** to get any air out. Even with starting fluids and very very conservative amount it will not hit. I've stopped using it no results. Its about 30 here. Latter it will be 55. Batterys are charging. Give me some hints when I visit the truck again. Thanks
Sorry Its a 1988 7.3 NON POWER STROKE
