Headlights blinking

My headlights recently started going out, coming back on, etc. (blinking). I changed out the dimmer switch combo on the column, but they still blink. I can pull on the dimmer/flasher lever and the high beams will stay on if I hold it (bypasses the headlight switch).
Is it the headlight switch that is bad?

same exact problem i had
it was the switch and the harness
you can get the harness from LMC truck parts for about 5 bucks
take it apart and you may see a discolored spot on the plug or on the prongs of the switch
btw local auto zone had the switch for 15bucks

The plug on the back of the headlight switch is bad about melting or the wires melting going into the connector. This is especially bad if you have auxillary lights. I wired all of my aux lights to a relay to keep the extra current from running through the switch.
