Fuel Problems on Both Tanks

Having problems with fuel pickup. Back tank runs empty at 1/4, and the front tank runs slughish with burst of acceleration and the Filter Light.

So I pulled the rear tank and found the Pick-Up line, or shower head was gone. Added bout 3" of hose, cut it at a 45 so it didnt sit flat on the bottom of the tank. Read several place this was thing to do.

Drove the truck home from my buddies after doing the work. Same problems! Truck ran a little better on the front tank, but I had to put more pedal to it to maintain a normal speed from back tank.

Any ideas?
