putting a 97 turbo on a 93 help!!!!

hey i have a buddy that just put the banks turbo on his 97 f350 and he told me that he would sell me his stock turbo for next to nothing. Do you fellas think that the turbo would be worth trying to fix on the truck. And how difficult do you think it would be? (Im in school and cant afford a banks yet ha)

Would cost just as much to fit it on the ole 7.3 and won't perform as good as putting the banks on not worth the time and money to do
