Oil cooler

Anyone replaced an oil cooler in a 7.3l Idi? Got quoted 1200 and no way do I have that or will ver put that much in this truck! Just wondering how hard of a job it is. I have another truck to drive but I was hoping I could sell the ford and get a nicer vehicle nd use that as a down payment but can't do that now

1200 is super high they are easy to replace i think its 4 or 6 bolts drain coolant remove bolts the whole cooler comes out remove ends install new o-rings now the tricky part is you will have to press the ends back on because of tight fit but other than that its super easy 1200 no no good luck

Is it basically the same as a DIT 7.3?

I think you can get the center section for $400 from the dealer
