94 idi non turbo fuel issue

i recently bought a 94 idi with 140,000 miles on it with fresh rebuilt trans. runs great ans stars great. only thing is, at higher rpms, either in park or the topend of each gear it seems to stumble a bit, not too crazy but enough to notice... is this injector related? thanks

Stumbles as in how? Vibration, wandering of RPM's?

I havent really heard about a symptom like that. My bet is on a bad IP or weak injectors causeing one to stick open at higher rpm's.

like its running out of fuel but doesnt drop speed. i ran some cleaner through the fuel. seems to be gone so im hoping that did it
