idi in to a 97 powrstroke
I have access to a 94 idi turbo diesel standard trans with 40k miles and a 97 power stroke with a blown motor. Does the 97 have a stand alone computer for the transmission like the early . My question is should I convert the auto to a manual or try and see if the idi will work with the auto? ATS has a controller for the trans for 450.00 but I rather not spend that much if possible. Thanks.
