Just picked up an 89 f250 with the ole idi. What should I do with this thing? Its reg cab long bed 4x4 with a 3 speed automatic top speed 55mph. Pulling truck maybe? Any ideas? Mud truck? It was cheap and it runs great.

An '89 7.3 with the three speed? Weird, it should have the E4OD.

Anyways, mud truck or Sunday driver. The three speed C6 doesn't get too bad mileage driving around town, and it's strong enough to pull a house down, although not fast. Got pics?

Yeah it was a city truck 55xxxI original miles. Had a spreader in the bed. I put a new bed on it and replaced a few fuel lines and ut runs like a champ. Yeah I've never seen one with the 3-speed. Ill snap a few pics this weekend and post um. I don't know might sell her I don't need it but it was too cheap to pass up.

Why is it limited to 55mph?
I've an '88 E350 w/ C6 and I get it up to 80 on the highway. It takes a while, but it will do it.
