Cruse Control Help..

Hello, I'm posting for my buddy. He has a 1990 F350 7.3 with just over 900,000mi on his truck. The guy is so anal about everything and I guess that's why even with the high mi the truck looks like its got less then 100,000 on it.

The problem he has is the cruse control doesn't work and he can't seem to be able to get it to work. All tests lead to this little black box above (not my truck I might be off alittle) the gas pedal. It has 2 plugs that connect to it an the box isn't much bigger then a iPhone (its thicker though).

He's been told that whatever this box is its the problem but its no longer made. He's always stopping at junk yards an getting these boxes but none work.

Please help me out..
