My 93 IDI ran good for about the 1st month that I drove it (Daily driver). Then it started losing prime quite a bit and dying/surging/hesitating/shaking violently when I drive it. When it dies, I check the filter and time after time it's empty. At this point I've replaced the lift pump, injector seals connecting fuel hoses, fuel filter and glowplug timer. It still loses prime and must be purged almost every time I go to drive, which I haven't been lately because it usually dies in the middle of the road. (Orlando traffic)
It usually runs good until it get's warmed up. that's when the problems generally start. The fuel switcher was diagnosed as bad so I'm bypassing it. Any other ideas? Could it be the injector pump? I really need my daily driver back in business. HELP!!
