trans adjustment?
what is this? i was told that it may be for a trans shift kit or something. but it looks like it has a fuel line going to it. it is in front of the air filter. :S

That is the throttle position sensor/fuel injection pump lever sensor.
It gets a voltage reading and then relays that to the TCM telling the tranny how to shift. It is one of the many sensors that needs to function properly for good tranny function. Who ever told you it was for a shift kit i would not take my IDI to them for work.

Wow old thread haha. It was the owner before the last. He said that he had a trans thing put in but not sure what it was but said that it was for the trans and that was his best guess. Turns out he had a interceptor electronic pressurizer put in.... P.O.S.
