1990 7.3 to 1997 7.3 motor swap

I have a 1990 7.3 idi 5 speed how much work would be involved in swaping motor out for a 1997 7.3 motor. How much would it cost and could I use my same transmision

The swap is pretty straight forward, you just need a lot from the donor truck. You will need all the engine management wiring and the PCM to match your final engine trans combo. The 90 trans will work but you have to make sure you have the correct inertia plate. The cost of the swap all depends on if you are using a wrecked truck, buying parts from a wrecking yard, or new/re-manufactured parts.

Hi new one here and lost. I have a 94[built april 94] This one has had thr motor and tranny pulled don't know where and when. What will sit in to replace it it was auto. years please.
