How do you test the glow plugs on these trucks?

alot of times its just the GP relay....highly recomend the stancor relay.......... |

well i knew that, is the IDI the same then????? if it is then i would had this job done a long time ago

dont know about the IDI... I'm pretty sure testing the GP would be done the same way...no more than GP cost for the IDI's, and easily accessable, depending on milage...I'd swap them out

With cd glow plugs (ie truck hasn't been run in 12+hours). Take an ohm reading of each plug. If they are less than 1 ohm you are good, if mote, replace.
Stancor relays are for powerstrokes, not IDI's |

glow plugs are good havent tested relay yet but truck starts right up when plugged in but has to crank a while when not
