GPR not activating at all...
First, the story...
I was driving my '88 F-250 7.3L IDI and it suddenly just quit while I was up in the woods. At first I was thinking fuel delivery but I have fuel to the filter up front w/o any issues. No WTS light and no clicking. So I had the thing towed home. I replaced the relay wiring it exactly as it was but I still get no activation of the relay. I have power to the post at the rear 100% of the time. What should I look at next? I am not a diesel mechanic (Actually I am FF/paramedic by trade) but this truck has been a project from the beginning so I am learning. I have replaced the GPs about a year ago now and they were working great up until this happend. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. |

Ok so I also want to know if you guys have any ideas on what could cause the engine to die suddenly. I dont believe the GPR/Controller would cause this since the truck was already warm.
When I checked I had fuel to the filter under the hood and when cranked the fuel would squirt out the bleeder valve. Engine cranks and has great compression. Wont start and I am thinking it is not getting fuel through the injectors... Easy way to check this? -Adam |

All the fuses I can find seem to be good.

FSV fuel shut off valve. For the motor to run it needs 12v applied to the IP's FSV. When power is taken away the pump stops pumping fuel.
With the hood open, have someone turn the key with your head by the IP. Don't let them start it just turn the key to the "run" position. Youshould hear a click. If not, that's your problem. |

And honestly I don't know which one of the wires is the FSV on the IP you just gotta play with it I guess.

Thanks I'll check those. One other thing that I seem to have forgotten to post in this thread is that I now dont get any WTS light either (obviously no GPR activation = no WTS light, or at least that is my understanding of what I have been reading.)
