7.3l idi governor spring swap?

I read this someplace and want to confirm its correct. I can swap the spring from my 7.3 idi and put in a chevy 6.2 diesel spring and get a wicked torque curve out of it?

Yes a srping out of a 5.7 pump or 6.2 pump will bring the govenor up to the 4200-4500rpm range.

It won't give you any different of a torque curve, just allow you to rev higher. And I wouldn't rev one of these motors higher than 3800rpms without machine work and balancing.
