7.3 IDI headers? Who? Where?

Truck: 1993 F-350 7.3l IDI

I haven't driven this truck yet, as I am in NY and its sitting at my uncles in NC. lol
Anyway I still think I will want more power out of it. I plan on a full cold air intake and a full exhaust as I do not think I will be running a turbo on this one.
I will need a pyrometer before I touch the fuel pump.
If I can get air in and exhaust out It should lower EGT's regardless.

ANYWAY who makes headers for the 7.3 IDI? where can I get them and how much?

Google stans headers. They have them for IDI's. I think they are like $350

Headers for Ford, Mustang, Pinto, Bronco, Cougar, Ranger, exhaust parts for home built do it yourself automotive headers.

Scroll down the list until you see the 269 item number. Thats them. Price went way up.

At that price you are not going to get the returns that you would for a turbo. Start looking and you can find a turbo for that or a few hundred more.

Point is that is not worth the money for the small gains you will get. But if money isnt an issue go right ahead.

get about 30 hp for 550 that .054 hp/ per dollar
From the banks site up to +82 hp and +143 lb-ft torque @ $2500
.0328 hp / per dollar? If I did that right lol.

Dude,

I am not going to even debate that 30 horsepower from headers on IDI is unreasonable.....

I was also not refering to buying a new turbo. They can be had for reasonable price ie under $1000, if you do your homework and have time to look.

Ask I posted that I checked ebay, There is rebuild OE turbos for $450

I will just have to built something myself.
If I find a set of used headers cheap maybe i'll toss them on. If not I'll just keep banking for the turbo stuff.

I bought my kit for 900$ with a fresh rebuilt, (rebuilt the turbo for me and sold me the kit). With exhaust it was about 1100$ gauges were extra as well.
