First step. Install pyro. No turbo plus more fuel can easily equal melted pistons.
Look at the left hand side (passenger) of the pump towards the back and bottom, there is a black triangular cover. There is a 5/32 Allen screw there to turn it up. It helps to have a mirror and someone to turn the motor over by hand to align the Allen screw up to here you can get it. A little goes a long ways. |

would it be the same on a 94 turbo non powerstroke? How far do you turn it? I have gauges, and can make an intake, already has exhaust. What kind of power gain can be expected? And what will it do to mileage?

Yup, its the exact same for that pickup. It doesnt take a lot to make high EGT's. I would say a good 10-15hp increase by turning it up N/A, more for a turbo cause you can turn it up more.
Mileage will stay the same except if you are wide open all the time, in which case, it will go down. |
