transmission swap?

hey yall, i have a 90' 7.3 idi. with an auto trans, i want to switch it out for a manual transmission, now im new to the ford world, so i dont know much about ford parts. i think it has a E40OD(?) trans right now...

Yup that's the tranns it has. The manual tranny you want is called a ZF-5 speed. They came in IDI's from 1987. You will need te tranny, linkage, flywheel clutch peddle assembly, clutch master cylinder, and tranny tunnel (for the floorboard as it's a little different shape.

Looking at about a grand

I have the ZF-5 trans in mine and I love it. Pulls good and hits decent speeds too.

And dont forget drive shafts or have your cut/lengthened.
