my first 92 7.3IDI

Hi there feelas im new here and new to the diesel world as well. I recently got ahold of a 92 7.3IDI and know nothing about these powerplants. Is there anything I can do to unleash a few extra HP and some extra TRQ? any help would be greatly apprecheated!

turbo kits. Thats the only way I have found to add hp besides turning up the pump.

Thanks fellas which turbo kit would be the better choice? know a guy that has a banks turbo that he took off an engine he bought cuz he didnt believe it helped his out. would it be woth grabbing ahold of?

I would. I havent personally heard of things happening to the banks but I have heard from people who heard from people about people having trouble with them. Ive heard lots of good things about ats.

do they use an intercooled turbo? I would realy like to have an intercooled turbo for the extra safety and piece of mind.

Hypermax is good too I have only heard good things about them. But have heard bad about banks and ATS

thanks for all the help fellas! il have to do more research on exhaust systems to heard that removing the cat will held EGTs and heard mixed reviews on the stacks and normal exhaust. Iv planned on a set of 5 inch stacks but not sure on the strait pipe or a Borlla Bullet muffler.

you can get an intercooler for the hypermax one.

i would stay away from ATS if i were you. havent heard much about Banks. Hypermax is good. a buddy a mine in georgia but Apex? twins on his IDI (i cant remember id have to ask)
