C6 Into '92 E-350?

My E4OD is slipping away. Annoying to drive; fluid level OK.

Want to install a C6, but Ford didn't offer the C6 in diesel vans from '91-'93, as far as I can tell from online parts searches. Will borrow a core C6 to check the fit, though I expect the C6 is much shorter. I imagine I'd need to lengthen my driveshaft. Guessing the mounting bracket will need to be in a different spot?

Thanks for the advice. Don't want to give up on this fairly rare beast.

Duh. A quick trip under on a creeper answered part of the question. Even if Ford didn't offer the C-6 in '92, at least the frame has 3 sets of bracket-mounting bolt-holes, the E4 is on the farthest ones. Betcha the C6'll work on one of the other two.
