Banks sidewinder kit?

I was thinking about a Banks sidewinder turbo kit for my truck. Has anybody tried one of these or knows if they will help?
Thanks

Here I am! I had a 93 F250 with the IDI. I bought a complete kit from Banks dirrectly. It was complete from the K@N air filter all the way to the chrome tip. Along with the trans command module. Also had the ptro and boost gauges. It was like 3200 bucks. It was the best thing I ever did to that truck. Had a buddy that had a stock 99 F350 that used to always have to wait on me pulling to the races. I installed the complete kit and my truck would walk right past him after that. JJ

So you never had any problems?
Did you instal it yourself or have someone else do it?

No problems what so ever. That truck would run pretty hard. I installed it myself. It took me like 14 hours over two days. When I called back and talked to Banks they said they had a guy that installs one every day in an 8 hour shift. If that is the case he has alot of time saving tricks. LOL

DO NOT listen to anyone that says putting a turbo on an IDI is a mess!!!! Thats just crazy talk with no experience!

When I turbo'ed mine it was night and day different. Could barely pull hills over 55mph NA but after the turbo it would go for days!

Get it!

The turbo was the best thing I did. I ran boost for 20k miles on stock head gaskets and head bolts. Did studs and new head gaskets just for the piece of mind.

I don't like the banks as they use a mitshubishi turbo which is hard to get parts for. ATS and hypermax use Garrett turbos
