Home brew turbo mod?
So, reading up here, i'm pretty much sold on the turbo kits. But nearly 2k for a turbo kit?
The basics to a turbo kit is the actual turbo, mounting hardware and piping right? So whats so difficult about getting a separate turbo, building your own brackets, exhaust tubes and intake hoses? As a student workin min wage, 2k isn't looking too good. ![]() Someone please tell me there is a catch that will convince me to keep saving my money up. |

It all depends on if you have the time and patience to cut and measure several thousand times for the pipes and brackets. and if they don't support or line up right the could blow off and potentially cause damage.

just look for a used kit, they go on craigslist and ebay all the time. i picked up a used factory turbo kit for $450.00 when i did my 90. a turbo is night and day difference.
