hey my names nick, i am having the same problem with my 89 7.3 IDI, im changing all the injection return hoses, fuel filter, injector o-rings and the caps that the return hoses connect to because the stall could be created from air getting into the fuel from dry rotting or cracks

What is your fuel guage reading? If less than or close to 1/4 tank its the fuel pickup tube. Otherwise, I am not certain.
