Tranny question?

I have a 1992 F350 2WD SC DRW 5 speed 7.3L idi.reverse is out of it.
MYquestion is, is there a 6 speed transmission that will bolt on to this truck. I have 4.10 gears and would love an extra gear for the highway.Thanks.

Nope, not without a LOT of modification. I know of only one guy putting a ZF-6 speed into an IDI equiped truck, and he was a fabricator.

If you would like another gear, a external overdrive like a gear venders should do the trick.

By the sounds of it, your tranny needs to be gone through, and some synchros need to be changed.
