94 idi turbo please read

ok so my buddy at school bought a srw 94 350 reg cab lb 4x4, he bet the truck on this and i think i will be getting a truck. but he said that ts made a chip for these trucks and i think they dont. because it is just like my truck right now 92 with banks turbo or my dodge. it still is mechanicaly injected so what good whould that be, none. he also says there is some resistor you can put on it to trick it or somthing into giving itself more fuel and claims 75hp out of that. i have been messing with these idi trucks since i was like ten and i am just learning this stuff today?????????????
