I have 1990 F250 Diesel Ran out of diesel and needed to c how to get it to pick the fuel back up and my truck smokes white for like 20 mins when i drive it steady then after that it kinda clears up but still smokes when i take over from a stop

Need to change the filter. It holds the water you sucked up when it ran dry.
First, pull the filter, then drain the bowl (not sure if that engine has the same filter as my 2000 7.3?), then refill the bowl with pure Diesel 911, put in the new filter, cycle the key (fuel pump) 10 times, then give her a whirl. |

hes right ... if its not that then your lift pump would be the next place to look ... but most likely he is right ... i was just about to respond to your other thread lol ... good luck
