Tranny Questions

Hi all Iam new to the Forum had a couple of quick questions.
I have a 95 250 bought it back at the start of last summer, had a cps fail and read the forums and fixed that now i have a couple of problems and dont know if the are related or not. First off when iam drivin up hill my tranny acts like it wants to down shift but it doesnt (rpms drop alittle when it does this) the my OD light starts to flash and it shifts hard until i restart it. everyone i have talked to say it the tranny slipping but, cant feel any slippage just the rpms drop for a sec and thats it doesnt come out of OD or anything. My other problems are with the cruise,it works fine but when i turn my blinker on to change lanes on the highway it kicks it off, also when i turn my blinker on (cruise off) my rpms rise for a sec then fall right back were they were?last but not least my speedo floats purdy good ? if anyone has any ideas what could be causing this i would greatly appreciate it!

gibson, The o/drive transmission for psd is all electronic. This means anything in the system not right, ie speed sensor, tps, eng coolant sensor , cruise control, etc, etc.. and the trans doesn't work right. Get those problems fixed first, your trans may start working. Preston

You might want to give one of the trans shops, lik BTS a call and talk to them, if the od light is flashing, it's telling you that there's a problem, It's like an early warning device. Im no tech, but thats what I'd be doing now. Good luck with that.

if you can get codes pulled ,need to start there ,if any speed sensor codes are present ,most common problem is speed sensor in rear end ,doesnt sound like thats all yore problem but may be a start to speedo jumping and od light flashing
