trans swap??

has anyone swapped an auto for a standard in the 99-03 psds??
if so how hard and how costly,or would it be cheaper to buy a built auto trans for my truck

Your better off just getting a different truck. Not really worth the time and $$$. You are 100% correct it would be better and cheaper to get an aftermarket auto tranny from ATS or other company.

i called brians truck shop and he said that i could swap a manual for an auto but not the other way around,he said the floor on the manual was deeper than the one on the auto.

why would they make 2 diff floors for these trucks???

Because the manual tranny is way taller than the auto tranny. So to make more feet room since most people buy the auto they made two different floors. Does that help?

I can probably get you a built transmission for the same cost it would run you to get all the parts to do the conversion. Transmissions can be had for less than the small fortune some guys want for them.
