Tranny trouble.

I need some ideas please, I have a 01 cc 4x4 , Auto PSD , It will not shift down when i push in the od button on the gear shift. , But when i pin the gas it will speed up until i let off then like it's free wheeling. It doesn't have any engine braking at all. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you .

I think there is another discussion on this around here somewhere. Mine does the same thing, but I never really found out why. Anyone got any ideas on this for us?

Yes, there is another discussion but I can't find it. It's call the coast clutch piston. There's a small section of the seal that blowes off the piston and leaks, therefore no hold back when you let off the gas, (except if 4th). Should cost $600 to $1000 depending on other damages. It needs to be fixed, will cause reverse problems later. Preston
