Noise in the trans area

I have a 99 f350 7.3 with an auto. it has 175 k on it. When i am sitting still or when i am stopping and the load comes off the converter it changes noise to sound llike a bunch of steel balls in a metal barrel. it will stop whe the load comes back on the trans. I am suspecting the converter. at first i thought it was the flywheel to converter bolts where loose but that was not it. anybody outthere evewr had any experince with this kind of thing?

I feel that it is the converter when it comes of the stall phase.

It is the converter. Hold your hands out in front of you with palms faceing you, fingers pointing towards themselves. Open your fingers enough to slide your fingers together, right hand into left hand. Lift up your right hand, the left hand follows. Push down your right hand, left hand follows. spread your fingers to get some play between the fingers. Now imagine these fingers are metal and the one on the right is trying to bounce between the other one 900 times a minute. There is where your noise is. This converter is full of those fingers. The more wear , the more noise. Makes me wonder if Ford reused your converter.
