Another Tranny Slipping

Driving down the interstate today ,doing about 75-80,I got on it and the tranny seem to come out of O.D.But it didn,t.Slowed down and stopped, no fuild leaks level was good.Drove another hour Tranny slipped at cruise very gradually.Got off interstate, took back roads home.Drove fine below 65.When I got close to the house got on it again about 35 mph tranny was slipping ever so slightly..any ideas? Thanks Mike...

Marc thanks for the reply,I've got a '01 F-350 4x4 CC auto.I'm am thinking it's the T.C. but I don't have much experience with autos. It acts like a clutch with a manuel tranny.

tough to say for sure, but it does sound like a possible TC problem....especially where it was mostly high speed cruising issues...

Slipping Tranny

I had a similar problem and traced it to the wire that goes to the torque converter that locks it up above 50 mph. Sounds like this connection is intermittant. Mine had been chewed by a squirrel.
