Question torque converter Maybe

This is my first Automatic ever so I don't know much about the tranny. The problem is when im sitting at a light or somethin and I have it in a gear I can hear a swishing noise but if a put it in neutral it goes away it even does it in REV.Any Ideas Tranny or Converter?

I see you have an 01 F-350 DJM. Your truck has the 4R100 auto tranny and everybody that I have talked to stresses regular service intervals religiously with this tranny. How many miles are on your truck and do you know if the truck was used to do a lot of towing. If it were mine, I believe I would change the fluid, filter, and drain the torque converter anyway. Should hold around 15 quarts if you drain the converter

I serviced it in December I change the filter and fluid every 20k.

Can't drain the converter from '98 up diesel and '00 up everything else. For removed the drain plug. The noise is problem comeing from the converter. Preston
