bad shift when cold

I had my tranny rebuilt last year. Since then the tranny doesnīt shift in overdrive when cold (ca. 35°F outside)for the first 5 minutes of driving.
What is wrong?

Most transmissions won't shift into o/d until the trans or engine reach normal operating temp. My car is the same way, and this is what the dealer told me.

Lock up is tempeture sensitive but not 4th. Not shifting to 4th when cold is usually an engine performance issue. You're pushing on the accelerator more to maintain or reach speed and therefore a later shift.
Make a note of what speed tranny shifts to 4th when warm. Then when you reach that speed cold, lift you foot from the acc pedal about an inch, trans will probably shift. preston

If it doesn't work, it means you have other problems; sticking shift valves, leaking seals etc; . Preston
