I helped a friend of mine a while back on his 89 4wd 350. Seemed like he removed a panel from the floor to get to the top of the tranny. Might peel back your carpet or mat and see.

I have done it so many times, my brother and I can have one out in less than an hour. What are you having trouble with?

Yes to all of that. The more room you have to get around the tranny, the better. I usually drop the mid-shaft bearing and leave it connected to the rear and lay the drive shaft to the side.

ill tackle it tonight.. is it nessecary to remove the exhaust?
the bolts to my headers are PRETTY bad in terms of rust and im scared to break them.. then ill have to mess with it forever to get the stud out of the header.
thanks guys.

also i am changing the fuel lines while im at it and the trans lines, and throwingin another trans cooler...
how do i bleed the fuel lines so i dont have air in the system.. i understand its a BIG BIG no no to have air in the system. thanks guys
