Don't know exactly. I took my truck back to the tranny shop for a new output speed sensor (they didn't replace it at rebuild) and they told me they pulled the injector drive module code.

IDM is the part of the computer that has direct control over the injectors. it is a Ford only part (don't go to IH). cost for a new one is about $1100.

Hopefully there isn't a big problem with it.

You might want to have the codes pulled again do you can see what the code is.

if you do have to replace it you can find them on ebay for pretty cheap compared to dealer price.

I thought it was, should it not be?

Sometimes I will jump in and try to fire it without waiting for the glow plugs (only if it's already at op temp) and I will hear a loud CLICK, CLICK, CLICK, almost in tune with the engine turning over, and it won't start. I will turn the key off then back on, wait for the light and fire it up.
Does that mean anything?
