Yep, better over charge the first few customers Scott, to recover the investment quickly!

I finally used my AE program today and I did the buzz test and cylinder contribution test and they both would not complete. They both said "test failed" do I have to be driving to do these tests?

I'll tell you one thing: The AE does so many things I felt like a
but it was cool to go through and test sensors while it was running.
Do they offer classes on how to learn this stuff?

no you do not need to be driving. The buzz test you will need the key on but engine off, the contribution test the motor has to be running.

If they continue to fail you do have a problem. Is it throwing any codes when it says "test failed"

How long does the contribution test take?
It has a bunch of electrical fault codes, battery voltage, and it threw a C (chassis code) that it said was unreadable

the contribution test takes about 2 minutes. not sure though, I have never timed it.. I would double check your batteries, and cables also.

Might want to have a load test done on the batteries to make sure they are still good.

I already know the pass. side one is bad. I've just been milking it along.
Time for new ones?
Does it make that much difference?

there are a set of wires inside valve covers. you will see a plug on outside of valve cover. another plug matches on inside cover. these plugs fail over time and become loose, let oil get into plug, cause electrical failure to injectors, therefore you get a code for the IDM but that is not the problem. i just replaced the inner set of wires and valve cover gaskets. you will need both to fix problem.
