starting issues - help please
2001 F250, 7.3L TD, 142K
Intermittent starting issues... thought it was the CPS, replaced it, not that. Truck will start and drive fine, but out of the blue, it will just crank, no starting... waited a while and tried again, she fired right up. When not starting, will blow out some whitish/grey smoke, maybe stumble a bit like it wants to start. Any help is appreciated.. I was thinking fuel filter or water in fuel - no lights to indicate any issues. Where are filters located at on truck? Put in some cetane boost and some injector cleaner from FORD a few tanks back, but this was occurring before that was added. TIA Mike |

Forgot to mention the WTS light would stay on twice as long as normal too... but only seems to be in cooler weather. In the warm weather I have been having, its starting just fine.
I have great oil pressure (for a FORD gauge) at startup and while driving. Mike |
