2001 f250 running rough

Hello,

I have Ford f250 7.3 powerstroke with 120,000 miles after starting and running for about five minutes the service engine light comes on and the motor starts running rough I can turn it off and let it sit for about 30 minutes and restart all is fine for about 5 minutes and it starts running rough again I noticed that the rubber boot between the air filter and the turbo has a crack in it would this caulse the problem, I have had the codes checked at autozone with the engine running and not running and the code scaner showes no code passed. any help with this problem would be greatly appriciated.

Thank you,

Steve

I know that the Autozone scanners may not read everthing from the PCM. If the light came on, it should have left a trace.

A quality scanner, Like snap-on, will tell you everything that is going on. Heck, mine even tells me the tourque the tranny is receiving.
