you will need to pay someone to pull the codes....or buy an OBD2 code reader to do it yourself and see what, if anything is there......there are a lot of things that can cause a rough idle or a miss on these.....and without some info it is virtually impossible for me....without the truck in front of me.....to figure it out........Marc

it really helps to run codes on the truck...rough idle and no smoke when you give it gas sounds like it might be a fuel problem...is it sluggish to drive....thats my vague guess, but like mark said, its hard to say without more info...

you know....one thing to check.....let it idle when its acting up....then immediately shut it down and check the oil level in the high pressure resevour. there is a plug on it....its the thing just in front of the fuel filter housing......this could be a low pressure oil pump problem........its just a thoght and codes would help more.....Marc

did you have your battery cables diconnected any time shortly before you tried to scan for the code......or do you have a chip???? those are usually the only two thinks that will cause that code.......Marc

A blown or missing KAM fuse will also give that code. Check the fuses in the fuse box by the master cylinder under the hood.
