I have a 2000 f-350 dually. it s got minor mods to it,air box, superchip tuner, 4 inch exchast form the turbo, gauges, etc. The problme I have is yesterday while out doing some erends. I stop and everything was just fine, came back out and was driving down the road and the serivce engine light came on. I do all the manatiance on the truck and its alwasy given me no problems ..

there should be a code, try pulling the code with that superchips tuner you have........it will be almost impossible to diagnose without it, especially if it is not running poorly.......Marc

any help with this.
k.....0475 is ebp controll valve malfunction....will not usually cause a CEL and can be set when there isnt even a problem

0541 is manifold intake heater open/ short.....will not usually cause a CEL and is probably a broken wire from the manifold heater....it isnt a really nessisary componant and just helps the running of the vehicle a bit in really cold weather

0603 is keep alive memory failure and is being set by the chip...nothing to worry about

1316 is a generic code that is for IDM codes being stored......the only way to figure out what is going on is to do specific tests that my scanners at work will do (key on engine running self test, injector buzz test)....but you probably have a problem with an injector starting to fail, or another probably cause is that you could have an under the valve cover harness coming disconnected. if this is the case, either will eventually cause a miss and a poor running condition........without knowing if it is a full bank dropping contact, or just a single injector starting to go.....i cant really give you much direction unfortuantely with that particular code.....if youve got some free time and can have your truck down for the day you could pull both valve covers and check the connectors for the under vavle cover harness.....but it isnt even the two things i mentioned FOR SURE......there are other possibilities as well.....sorry i couldnt help more....Marc
