Transmission Squall
I have a 2000 7.3 Powerstroke that makes a squall when it upshifts into the top two gears and overdrive. The transmission was rebuilt and a new torque converter was installed at about 95000 miles but the noise is still there. I installed a new belt on the chance that it was the culprit but its still there. The noise does sound a lot like a belt squeal but that has been eliminated.

when the belt was off did you check all the pullies and make sure theres not a bearing going out on one of them? because a bad pulley can sound like a belt
