Rear Caliper Exploded!!!!!

K i was at a stop sign today and decided to power brake it, the engine was revin at higher rpm's and the tire broke loose but that is not the only thing that boke loose, i lost all brake pressure on the pedal and heard a loud pop i stopped and looked and there was brake fluid everywhere around the tire and axle and the back left rotor was all chewed up, i tried backin up but the tire locked up and i couldnt move i put it in drive and it free'd up but startd makin a noise like there was a lugnut or somethin inside the center cap jus rollin around and it was a mix of that and grindin. what do yall think need replacin and how bad you think its gonna set me back.

Sounds to me like you need the following parts, Brake Caliper, hardware Kit, Brake Pads, and Rotor. Go to the local parts store and price it out. The last time I did a caliper, rotor, pads replacement I believe it cost me around 250.00 doing it myself. All depends on where you get parts. I would also be looking at the mounting bracket for the caliper to make sure it is not damaged. You can get them new from parts stores as well. Just check everything thoroughly to make sure nothing is damaged that is not mentioned. Also you may need new parking brake shoes depending on what year your truck is and wether or not you have the parking brake setup with the brake shoes and the rotor is also a brake drum. My 2002 is like this.

And while its up in the air it probably would be to your benefit to do both sides, just to be on the safe side, you probably would anyways, but this makes me sound like I know what i'm talking about lol.
