brake vibration

I have a 2000 7.3 PS 4x4 SC SB with 77,000 miles on it. Recently, the truck has started to shake when I use the brakes. It feels like the front end the way that the steering wheel shakes. I had the front rotors turned and new pads installed about 2000 miles ago, along with a new lower right ball joint and new right wheel studs. Any ideas? Thanks!

Mine does the same thing, and its a warped rotor. Your problem sounds exactly like mine.

that can be the problem on superduties when they turn the rotors.....they are then thinner and more prone to warpage. since you say the shake is felt through the steering wheel, your rear rotors are probably fine. i would reccomend replacing the front rotors, cause if you use the brakes hard the thinner rotor has more trouble dissipating the heat.

also.....most shops dont, but hand torque each of your lugnuts.....fords newest spec on the lugnuts on superduties is 150ft lbs. torqueing a wheel actually reduces the chance that a rotor will warp.

Make sure they didn't machine them under spec too, if they did then send it right back to them and make them replace the rotors.
