Question on hub change

I'm getting ready to change hub bearings and ball joints. My question does anyone know the specs for the hub and the hub ext. as mine is a 350 dually and also a 4+4? I don't want to tighten things too tight or leave loose and be a danger out on the road HA!! I haven't had the 7.3 toooooo long and haven't invested in a repair manual yet. Does anyone know which company makes the best manual to get the most detailed info? What would be a good lube for the vac lockouts? I have used a light graphite grease and also white lith in the past on the manual lockouts. Just another thought. I haven't taken mine apart yet to see if the washer has the four grooves cut in it. Does this really work and is it to let the vac to the lockout better? We have to keep our wheels turning. THANKS

hub to knuckle nuts 133 ft lbs. spacer would be the same as your lugnuts 165 ft lbs. and grease would be just wheel bearing grease will work. you can buy a ford service manual from ford or off of ebay. But the factory manual would be the best one

Thanks djsdiesel

I guess it is a good thing if you don't know Ask. Thanks for the spec's. That is kind of an important part. I'm putting on new rotors and want to get things right. I will check with Ford and see what I can come up with. Mine is an early 99 and I'm up dating to the newer hubs and rotors. I guess the T. would be the same. Thanks again!!!!!!!
