Smile A question for Marc or the whole gang

I have a 99 350 super duty dually. I have a left front wheel bearing that I'm going to have to replace. Is there a good quality hub bearing that maybe better than others? For what they cost it would be nice to just do it once. Mine has a two pin connector. Would this be the abs? I think mine was built the 7th of 98 and it is also a 4+4. I will do the ball joints as I do both sides. I read you talking about Moog joints. Also what is a good average price on the hub bearings each and also the ball joints? Just a good shot in the dark HA!!!!!! How was your trip??? Deer hunters are running wild in our neck of the woods!!! Thanks to alllllll.

Dynatrac offers a supieror wheel bearing unit that is about a month on backorder and kinda pricey. If you're not going with oversized tires you might as well stick with the OEM's and get your hubs/balljoints from powerstrokeshop.com.... they have a "complete" rebuild kit for around 750bucks (2 sets of upper/lower ball joints, and 2 wheel bearings and all Orings/seals you need) which is an AWESOME deal.

FOr the bearings you'll either need a seal driver or get ford to press the big outer seal on (that's what I did, when the seal costs 35 bucks, I'd let them do it) and for the ball joints you'll need a press that you can borrow from autozone or napa or something.

Sorry to hear about the injury

I will just have to check around and see what a I can get local. I do have a Napa store close and a Ford dealer also. One of them can surely fix me one way or the other HA!!!! (I may have to sell the farm) Good to hear you made the best of your trip. We have a lot on nice whitetails here in southern Iowa. Our bow season is going strong and the shotgun season will be coming the first part of Dec.. We have three out of state hunters here now. They have bought ground and kinda makes it a home away from home. One is from Michigan and the other two are from PA. Nice people!!!!!!!!! Keep up the good work

Thank's Maintain

I'll will check into Powerstokeshop.com. Sounds almost toooo good to be true. Did you think the ball joints were good quality?? I've changed several ball joints in the past just not one of these animals. I'll getter done one way or the other. All it takes is a little time and a lot of MONEY HA!!! Have you had any trouble with you auto hubs?? Mine were stuck and turning the diff in the auto setting. I guess when I do the wheel bearings and ball joints a good washing out and relubing will fix this. I locked them in and returned them to the auto setting and they released fine. Again Thanks
