New Superwinch Hub Lock Problems

Hi-new to the forum, and looking for some help. Just put a set of Superwinch hub locks on my '01 F250. I am getting a grinding now, it is not constant, and stops when I slow down or stop. Could something not be seated correctly? I didnt have this noise before the swap out. This was a pretty simple job, but these simple jobs worry me sometimes! Any help is greatly apprectiated

to powerstroke.org DD. Someone will be along shortly to have a look. I would say it has something to do with it, maybe, not really sure. I will let someone else tackle this one. But

Not sure if you got any help with this or not, but I have had a couple of experiences, some due to my stupidity and some due to others stupidity, and maybe one can help.

Question first: Is there noticable leaking or extra dust on your wheels? Brake pad dust is normal, but are you seeing a light brown/rust-colored dust more on one side than the other?

Lug nuts. Shop that rotated my tires negelected to tighten my lugs all the way. Grinding noise started and almost sheared off the wheel studs and began wallowing out the stud holes on the wheel. Lots of fun

Grease in the bearings. Sounds like a no-brainer, but after pushing to get it installed anyone can forget that.

Snap rings. My 02 F-350 came from the factory missing the snap ring on the drivers side sealed hub. As it wasn't there on the tear-down, I never thought it was missing. I know, brilliant me. Grinding started about six months after I bought it as there was too much room for the internals to play. Sounds like hell, especially on corners.

Axle-tube seals. If you didn't replace the seals on your swap, you'll regret it later. I went through a set of OEM hubs prior to learning that the stock tube seals are notoriously weak.

Brake cover. If you jarred, bent, or misaligned your brake cover on your install, this will create a grinding sound.

Hope any of this helps, broken rigs suck.
